Junior Registration for 2026

ree

Registration for the Blackheath junior section in 2026 is now open.  The process of registration depends on whether your child was a member in 2025, or whether they wish to join for the first time in 2026.  The process for each is explained below.

Whichever applies to you, you can find information about membership in the new season on the Boys, Girls and Minis pages of the website.

Those who were members in 2025

As usual, there are waiting lists for all squads, so there is an existing members’ priority window, which ends at midnight on Sunday 4th January 2026.  After that, those on waiting lists for the relevant squads will be contacted and offered any available places.

If your child was a member in 2025 and you intend to register them again for 2026, please don't leave it until after the priority window has ended, as you may find the place is no longer available.    Every year this happens to one or two people – make sure it is not you!

Please also note that those wanting to do winter training need to sign up for that separately, after registering as members: see below.  Numbers for these sessions are strictly limited and places will be allocated on a first come first served basis.

Procedure for re-registering an existing member

As usual, registration is done online from the club website and can be done on your pc, tablet or smartphone. Go to blackheathcricket.com, click on “Members” and enter the Username (or email address) and Password you used last year. If you’ve forgotten, follow the prompts to reset your Password. This will take you to your personal Dashboard, where you should select the child you want to re-register under “Your Family” and follow the prompts.

You will find that all the information that you input last year is still stored, so the process should be very quick.  However, we ask you to review the information we hold for you, make sure the details are correct and give the necessary consents.   Please remember that your registration is not complete until payment has been made.

Adding a child to the waiting list

If you have a child who is an existing member, but would like to sign up a sibling for the first time, this has to be done through the waiting list: log in as above, click on “Add Your Child” and follow the prompts.

Joining for the first time in 2026

Everyone joining the Blackheath junior section needs to do so through our waiting list system, and this is the starting point.  We are generally able to offer places to most children on waiting lists each year, though it does vary depending on the age group.

Joining the appropriate waiting list if you are new to the club

If you’re new to the club and your child is not currently on any of our waiting lists, putting their name on the appropriate list is very straightforward: just click on this link and follow the prompts. You should get an immediate acknowledgment email.

Once you are on our waiting lists

As explained above, there is an existing members’ priority window, which will close on Sunday 4th January 2026.  In most cases, we won’t be able to offer places to those on waiting lists until after the priority window has closed.  However, in some cases (e.g. our youngest squads or where we are expanding the squad so we know there will be capacity), we may contact you sooner.

If and when you get an email offering a place for 2026, it will explain how to complete the registration process.  Please respond promptly to the email, as if you do not want to take up the offer of the place it can be offered to someone else.  If you accept the place, you will then also be able to join the winter training program: see below.

Winter training

Starting in January, there is a new winter training program for both boys and girls (U8 and older) at several different venues.  The younger boys’ and girls’ sessions (U8/U9 and U10-U13) will be run by Danny and Ronny Harrison, and will be on Friday evenings.  Older boys are invited to train with the Men on Sunday mornings, and older girls are invited to train with the Women on Thursday evenings.  Numbers for each junior winter coaching session are limited to an average of 12 per squad, which will be allocated on a first come first served basis.

If you would like to sign up for these sessions then, once you have re-registered for 2026, you can do so at the links below.

·       U8-U9 boys and girls winter training (Longacre School, Fridays 5.30-6.30pm)
