Boys' Cricket

In the 2025 season we will be running separate boys’ squads at every year group from U8 up to 15 plus an U17 team (younger boys can join our Minis and U7 squads, which are for both boys and girls). Boys in the U14 squad and older are also welcome to play senior cricket and train alongside the Men. Average squad size at each age group is around 25-30 and although most of them currently have waiting lists we always try to accommodate as many new members as we can.

Our cricket is inclusive, family-focused, and fun but we also set very high standards for our best young players, some of whom are in county squads. In 2025, nearly all of our boys’ teams will be playing in the top tier of the Surrey Junior Cricket Championship (SJCC), against the best teams in the county, although most have multiple teams in appropriate tiers of the SJCC, which means that every boy gets opportunities to play in matches. Though our U7s don't play league matches we organise occasional tournaments for them too, and some may get the opportunity to play in U8 games. The U10s and above play hardball cricket and the U9s and below generally play softball, although in 2025 there will also be an U9s hardball team.

We have a large team of young professional coaches, several of whom also work for Surrey Cricket, led by our highly experienced Head Coach, Chris Poil. All coaching sessions are professionally run (usually by several of the coaching team), although some parents help out as administrators and also assist with the coaching and running matches.
