Coaching
The team
We have a strong and experienced coaching team, led by our Men’s Head coach, Chris Poil and our Women’s Head Coach, Sharon Eyers. Our junior section coaching is led by experienced professional coaches Danny and Ronny Harrison, supported by a team of qualified coaches, mostly drawn from our own young players. Danny and Ronny have both worked extensively for Surrey Cricket and also offer individual coaching, particularly recommended for those seeking selection for County Age Group and Performance squads. There is at least one professional coach allocated to each boys’ and girls’ squad, working together with our numerous volunteer coaches, squad managers and administrators.
Holiday Camps
Aside from training programmes and matches, we also offer half term and summer holiday cricket camps run by our associated coaching academy, Matchfit Academy. These are open to both boys and girls at appropriate age groups, including those on waiting lists.
Individual Coaching
Individual and 1:2 coaching sessions are available to junior members throughout the year from one of our professional coaches. Sessions take place at the club or during the winter months at an indoor facility.

Winter Coaching 2026
There are scheduled weekly winter training sessions for our all men’s, women’s and junior (U8 and older) squads this winter.
