At Blackheath we pride ourselves on welcoming all kinds of cricketers to play at our two beautiful grounds and enjoy our great facilities.
We field 3 Men's XIs in the I’Anson League, believed to be the oldest continuously-operating village cricket league in the world, where many of our opponents also have fine village grounds that are almost the match of our own! We also play midweek evening T20 games, both the Surrey Slam and the Stevens Cup knock out competition, usually on Tuesday evenings.
On Sundays and during our cricket week (first week of August) our men play friendlies, welcoming sides of all standards, from MCC and overseas touring sides to local rivals and wandering sides in Surrey and the South East.
We have a Women's Section which plays softball matches in the I'Anson League as well as occasional friendlies.
At junior level, we have well over 350 boys and girls of all age groups from Under 6 up to Under 16, with most of our boys’ squads playing in the top tier of the Surrey Junior Cricket Championship, against the strongest clubs in the county. We run a full and structured coaching programme which is largely run by a team of professional coaches with help from numerous qualified amateur coaches from among our own members and parents.
Off the field we pride ourselves on being a family-oriented club, with strong links to local schools and the wider community, as well as our work with a variety of charities both locally and round the world.
